| 178411 | 2003-09-27 10:35:00 | I have an onboard SiS 740 (VGA) and I've got a GeForce 4 MX440I which I want to use. I have having trouble getting windows to actually use the GeForce, It uses the SiS for all apps. I need an app that will change it so everything uses the GeForce. Removing the SiS doesn't seem to work. I'm running win2k. Cheers John |

| 178416 | 2003-09-27 11:33:00 | So what Make and model Motherboard do you have? Which BIOS do you have? Award etc? Which version of Windows are you using? I would think that you take the GeForce card out altogether and connect monitor to the SiS. From there ( depending on BIOS ) disable the ON BOARD video if you can. More info re Motherboard, BIOS and Windows version will help us to help you. :-) If you can disable the ON BOARD SiS then insert the new GeForce and connect Monitor to that. You will need to load the drivers for the new GeForce card after that. Do I make sense???? |

| 178417 | 2003-09-27 11:36:00 | I believe he wasnts to run both cards,with a monitor off each one,the problem is that on boot it uses the gforce as the master untill windows loads and it then uses the sis,Hence,its a windows setting. Thats the way i read it anyway. |

| 178418 | 2003-09-27 11:49:00 | My MoBo is a Matsonic MS8318E, don't know any info on BIOS and I just want to be able to use the GeForce, which I can't. Windows is recognizing it, but won't use it. But dual monitor sounds nice! I might set that up later (once I get another monitor). Like I said, im running win 2k. John |

| 178419 | 2003-09-27 11:55:00 | Open device manager, find the SIS under Display Adapters, right click on it and click on "Disable". Now add the Geforce (by adding new hardware or similar) if it's not available. Mike. |
