| 178904 | 2003-09-29 08:35:00 | You dont say what operating system you are using. As far as Im aware it is an NT file, and if you are running win9x it is not needed. I understand that message can arise from some sites installing iedll.exe and loader.exe behind your back, nasty! A Google search yielded this site (www.computing.net) among several, and this extract below from the site seems to be a resolution: Response Number 11 Name: Nuke_m Date: September 28, 2003 at 08:47:08 Pacific Subject: psapi.dll File deleted Reply: I'm on win98 but xp is the same. If you use some sites for free software, they can install progs' in your windows folder: iedll.exe + loader.exe [delete them] [psapi.dll usually isnt needed] go to start menu/run/<type>msconfig go to startmenu check for them to run. if yes untick~disable them. my regclean didnt delete the entry, so: go to Startmenu/run/<type>regedit work down~ currentuser/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run- till you find: iedll.exe + loader.exe right click on each name in turn in the righthand panel and delete. close regedit and reboot Good luck |
