However when I tried to open it from Winzip using setup.exe I get an error message SMBios/DMI.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.Could you tell me what the problem is please.

You don't open zipped programs using setup.exe, in fact if the setup exe you are referring to is in the downloaded file list, it may be a self extracting system that will call winzip itself.

Zipped downloads should have a *.zip suffix and winzip will only respond to that type of file.

Can you tell us what else is present with the download as well as the setup.exe file? Then we might be able to help you easier. At this stage I am assuming that you have never used Winzip before.

Cheers

178536 2003-09-28 01:12:00 The program was downloaded as a zip file by the sound of it?

You then opened the zip file using winzip?

You then tried to run setup.exe from the winzip window, where it showed you the contents?

If the above is true, you can't always do it that way.
You need to always extract the zip files to a separate directory, then run setup from the extracted files.
