178586 2003-09-28 05:17:00 ok when doing all this reinstall stuff for other puter needed to find drivers for it, and when i needed to save it to a disk to transfer to other puter it does not give me this option,

so does that mean it wont do this or i need to have a prog installed for this to work something like nero ? or something else.

does this not come auto matically with the puter / system when you buy a new one?

or does it mean the new one cannot copy disks for me? as its not a cd writer?

confused, as i understood all puters came with this component.

178587 2003-09-28 05:25:00 Well, with XP, its builtin burning is hopeless. It doesnt support packet writing. You need something like CD Creator 5/6, to make it work properly.

And u can use Nero (INCD) I think. BUT I only use DirectCD (part of CD Creator). That does what I want it to do (copy to CD/format, if I have to).

I've never tried INCD. BUT do use Nero for burning MP3's to CD.

178590 2003-09-29 10:10:00 hi ya

talking to my pc man tday and he had a look at my cd and it turns out its not a cd writer / burner its just a cd reader.

apparently thats what he was told to put in, and not what i asked for a cd burner. so we may change that in the future.

so no wonder i was having a few problems ..:D

if it dont rain it pours,
