| 179409 | 2003-09-30 22:05:00 | My Mouse, when scrolling, has gone nuts . It is just about impossible to select anything. The lists kind of jump around. I use Windows ME, and my kids download huge amounts of all manner of dross. I use AVG antivirus, reasonably regularily updated. Any Ideas? |

| 179411 | 2003-10-01 01:20:00 | I had this same problem with an AMD K6 computer where the PS/2 mouse went crazy. It worked perfectly with a serial mouse. Never did solve the problem. Reinstalled made no difference. Tried another PS/2 mouse. Must have been a fault in the motherboard. |

| 179413 | 2003-10-01 06:07:00 | I had a mouse lose the plot on me suddenly - cursor used to leap all over the page, different windows flicked open without me selecting them and generally causing a riot. First check all your cord connections (including the one at the back of the mouse), remove and clean the ball, or if optical give the base and sensor light a wipe, and try reinstalling the mouse drivers. Also, borrow another mouse and see whether this makes a difference. Hopefully one of these things will pin-point where the fault lays. |
