2003-10-01 22:55:00 | If it is actually shown to improve people's medical conditions, I say go for it. If it's just a way for addicts to get it easier, then no. | agent (30) | |
2003-10-01 23:16:00 | i've seen/heard no proof that it works.. i only know that people do it coz it relaxes them..but medical proof no... to be honest i think they should just ban cannabis for once and all.. coz i bet if ppl get it when they sick..they know they gonna die neway...they sell it..easy way to make money off "legal" cannabis

2003-10-02 00:16:00 | If you're dying, money matters not. Pain sucks, and you don't want to suffer any more than you have to in your last days. They wouldn't sell it. I had morphine all over the bloody place with my Dad and there was never any temptation to do anything nefarious. It was a way of making him comfortable. As for legalising cannabis, not sure what I think. I don't think use should be encouraged. Some reckon they can handle it, fine, as long as it isn't compulsory. robo.

2003-10-02 01:56:00 | Interesting topic. I dont agree with the premise that if I enjoy games Im less likely to do drugs. To me gaming is a nice deversion and a pastime and people taking drugs can be of all walks of life. I like a beer, which is a drug of course, but not into anything else. Have tried it when younger, but wasn't for me so back to alcohol. In fact, some health problems can be caused or accentuated with drugs so I wouldnt like weed to be legal in public. However, what people do behind their own doors with "soft" drugs is their business as far as Im concerned.

2003-10-02 03:40:00 | What is the problem with drugs in society? Is it because of what happens to them? is it because of the behaviour it creates out of them? exactly what is it that stops them from legalising marijuana? I guess the answer is different for the type of drug, but I'm referring to marijuana . I smoked weed for a short time, gave up because I hated feeling like a d!ck (laughing for no apparent reason) but I can't see the reason why it can't be legalised to tell you the truth . If it's because it's going to kill you that's not a reason, it destroys braincells? Well possibly a reason, and I've seen it destroy students educations, I guess since I didn't smoke weed that long, I didn't find out more of what it can do, but I know some people who smoke it, who I find are a tree of knowledge, I don't know the reason why they smoke weed but I wouldn't mind knowing . I smoke cigarettes and I know it's shortening my life if not destryoing my health, I know I'm strong willed but it's hard to give up . I'm now engaged and doing my best to give up, but I was brought up around smokers and it was probably the biggest mistake I made when I started . I've only been smoking for a year . I can go cold turkey for a week, but something that happens during that week makes me light up . I remember when I tried given up I threw away half a pack down a drain and the next day I bought another pack . If I stay on my computer, I never smoke, only when I leave my computer I smoke . You think there's a link somewhere?

Illegal substances are immediately more "valuable", and a better business . These figures date from a few years ago, but are probably pretty still near correct . . . Deaths known to be caused by drugs: tobacco 75% alcohol 24% opiates (illegal "drugs") 1% I used to smoke and drink . Now I don't . Never used others . :D |

2003-10-02 06:19:00 | Interesting point, dude I have to admit eat less when I am into a given game (and eating less is good, well snacking less) . Same as you and smoking . A friend has a flatmate who is trying to give up smoking, she gives up about four or five times a week . She has health issues and the Doc keeps telling her to cut smoking, quit binge drinking, cut down on the glue sniffing (joke) but she isn't really prepared to change her lifestyle yet she is now on the sickness benefit because of the damage she continues to do . My wife gave up smoking once, sixteen years ago, hasn't had any since . It's all about what you really want, I guess . I'm not really sure about the marijuana thing but Zaphod Tandzos is not a good example of what smoking dope can do for you (more like to you in his case) . robo .
