| 179609 | 2003-10-01 11:36:00 | Hi, I have a number of analogue Video 8 tapes I want to copy to hard drive, edit, then burn to CDR. My camera is a Sony TRV16E Pal and has seperate RCA video and audio connectors. Computer is Athlon 1400 512Mb ram, NVidia GeForce 2 MX/MX400. Has anyone used a simple setup to do this? Muchas gracias, Ray |

I run an AMD 1700+ with 512MB RAM. The graphics card will be more than enough, but will you be capturing with it or another specialized card? I know that some GeForce cards have ViVO. My biggest question is how large is your HDD? Uncompressed video can be very large.. I captured 3 and a hlaf minutes of TV at the standard PAL resolution and it was 1.45GB! Hope this helps Cheers Chill. |
