Might help you . ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hi there . . . . . . . . i recently succeeded at getting Globe Finder off my computer first i downloaded a free copy of PestControl software once this software was downloaded it scanned my computer and found the "pest" that kept configuring my browser to log into the Globe Finder website after the software scanned my computer, this is what it found: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions\(c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a) i deleted " (c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a) " i am now rid of this pest . . . . . . . . . one can get to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ . . . . . . . . . . in the following way: start>search>for files or folders . . . . . then search for " regedit " . . . . this will bring up the registry folder mentioned above . . . . . . while in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE one must be very carefull to do nothing more then delete the last part of the path name above . . . " (c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a) " . . . . . . this will work . . . . . please post this info . . . . . . . . . . thanks |
