179795 2003-10-02 08:53:00 Hi there

I have got around 9 video clip files ranging in size from 5 - 30 MB on a CD, with file names like 'Video 1.mpg'.

The problem is that I can't get them to play. In the GSpot Codec Information Applience thing all the feild have n. a. in them.

Any ideas? are they some sort of 'raw' (I'm not sure) DVD rips........?

Cheers
Forrest.

179796 2003-10-02 08:59:00 They seem a little small for dvd rips,
where did you get the cd from?

That help?

179798 2003-10-02 10:04:00 Try them in PowerDvd or something. Maybe try opening them up in avicodec, thats usually pretty good at determining all the codecs for mpeg/avi you will need, and even provides links to the download.

Gspot will not identify a mpeg file because it doesn't have a 4CC code.

AVIcodec said it was an MPEG 2.

Downloaded a codec & it worked
