| 180920 | 2003-10-06 20:09:00 | Hi. Was wondering whether someone could help me with this. A vertical line has somehow appeared right in the middle of the laptop screen ( a translucent line) and seems to persist with all applications and through many re-starts. I have no idea how to remedy this! I use a Compaq 1.6GH pentium with Windows XP. Thanks for your help. DC |

| 180924 | 2003-10-07 02:20:00 | If it's 1.6GHz, it might be new enough for a warranty claim. It could be a bad column drive transistor ... which is not "easily" fixable. :-( If the guarantee hasn''t run out, make use of it. :D |
