181107 2003-10-07 07:28:00 Does anyone know how to set up Outlook 97 so that it disconnects automatically when you have done send and receive?

Is there any way of putting a send and receive button onto the tool bar as in later versions?

This is Windows version 98. Have looked through the various options but have been unable to find it. Have seen it work on someone elses computer, but they don't know why it does.

Many thanks
Peter

181108 2003-10-07 09:04:00 I think Outlook 97 should do this by default but if it is not working check the MS link.

MS info here (support.microsoft.com)

Are you not able to select View/Toolbars and to add or remove items

I don't use Outlook 97, but if you were using Outlook Express for e-mail, this is what you would do to make it disconnect after send or receive.

Open Outlook Express, go to *tools*options*connection*, and tick "hang up after sending and receiving".

Maybe your setup is similar.

Cheers. :)
