| 180988 | 2003-10-07 01:48:00 | I am attempting to e-mail a number of contacts using to: Undisclosed recipient and then BCC to each of my clients. This prevents a huge list of addresses being sighted However Netscape Communicator is now returning the following message when I go to send: "Only one recipient accepted with null sender address. Please check the message recipient and try again" Netscape help (?) files are not helpful. Obviously I am doing something wrong!!! Help please |

OE will not send an email until the offending address is corrected or removed so if you do that Netscape will probably then do the job. |

What I believe is happening, is that 1 (or more) of your e-mail addresses in the BCC field is potentially incorrect, no longer registered, or is rejecting your e-mail for some reason . Due to the all to common practice of people now "bouncing" spam e-mails back to the sender, there has been a change to many ISP methods of handling the problem . It seems they will only allow an e-mail that is bounced to have 1 recipient, otherwise there is a game of table tennis as it bounces back and forth . Perhaps this is built into some e-mail client software as well, as you indicate that its not even being sent? Thats the strange part . I do applaud your use of the BCC though . Good luck, and post back if you find the source of the problem . |
