I just have a healthy disrespect for some of Microsoft's tactics.

181624 2003-10-11 12:44:00 The Linux that you can download may not be as fully featured as the retail version. The licence states that you must supply a free version of the OS but it doesn't say that it has to have all the features included. Some of the tools and apps within linux are written for linux but may not actually be based on the code, these apps and tools may only be in the retail version, or not. Odin (227)
181625 2003-10-11 20:07:00 Would everyone keep in mind that when the GPL talks about free it has *nothing* to do with cost. A lot of Linux just happens to be free as in cost but nowhere in the GPL does it say that it has to be. The GPL means free as in the ability to modify and distribute the source code without restrictions. flyer590 (2523)
