2003-10-08 04:48:00 | I cant resume my downloads off irc, i heard that it has something to do with some settings, how do i set it up corectly so i can resume downloads off irc when i am behind a router? My router is a World Net Connexant Access-Runner Ethernet one... | DDDD (4314) | |
2003-10-08 05:05:00 | What port does MIRC use? You could try forwarding that port on to your inside IP address (192.168.1.x) (Virtual Server settings/Port forwarding) | PoWa (203) | |
2003-10-09 04:29:00 | dunno that's what i want to find out so i can port forward or sometihng :S | DDDD (4314) | |
2003-10-09 04:41:00 | Well for starters, how do you configure your router? Via the web interface 192.168.1.1??? | PoWa (203) | |
2003-10-09 07:11:00 | yeah through my web browser | DDDD (4314) | |
2003-10-11 07:53:00 | Umm what v of Windows are you running? If it's XP, is the firewall on it enabled as well? The ports if you're talking about 1st and last for Mirc are 1024 (1st) and 5000 for last. (These are the default ports for DCCing in Mirc). Resume in MIRC also doesnt always work. So, you have a 50/50 chance of actually getting resume to work properly. If you are using XP and the firewall is still on, and if its sending and receiving of files youre talking about as well as resuming. You haveta add the 1st and last port in thru the firewall, in order to get them to work properly.

2003-10-11 12:34:00 | What router are you using. A previous poster was correct you will have to open a pinhole or Virtual server port in order for MIRC to work. You need to find out what TCP and/or UDP port your MIRC program uses and then open the port. | Odin (227) | |
