HP just released a 7" tablet for $207 @ PBtech, screen is not great but it's a name brand with reasonable specs for cheap if you really must. Or then there's the galaxy Note 8, had a play the other day - very nice. |

I've seen an Acer, the HP, and one other I've forgotten the brand of in the $200-$300 range all of which would be ok. Once you've used a better model though the cheap ones seem sluggish and crappy by comparison. I have a Galaxy S3 and a transformer TF300, both fast quad cores with nice screens and wouldn't go back, I started with a cheap Acer tablet to see if I liked it and ended up with these, the Acer was fine though the TF300 is just better. Of course everyone raves over the nexus range, and there's always the apple products (fan or not they are great hardware wise). |
