If no new laws had been past in say the last 10 years would life be any different ? Who can remember now the countless laws that were passed or changed last year or the year before, and have they made any difference in your life ? |

2013-01-27 01:58:00 | Not broken? Why do we need WOFs every 6 months? Other countries get along fine without that. It's been debated for nearly a year anyway, but they wimped out at then end and left it as older than 13, still 6 months.

2013-01-27 02:08:00 | I thought Simon Bridges had a decent head on his shoulders, now Im far from convinced. Changing WOFs to 12 months is just dangerous in Chch anyway with the state of the roads. My car was fine at one wof check and 6 months later had buggered front suspension and had to replace struts, shocks, suspension joints at a cost of $800. Potentially dangerous for driving, braking, cornering without it being fixed and damn sure I wouldnt have liked to be driving like it was for another 6 months. Crazy move that will lead to more accidents in my opinion. I guess time will tell.

2013-01-27 05:40:00 | Can't see what all the fuss is about When a new car is under warranty everything is gone over with a fine tooth comb anyway,a warrant every year is a waste of time and money during this period Already here labour/Greens saying they will reinstate the status quo, HaHa

2013-01-27 07:32:00 | ... Why do we need WOFs every 6 months? ... Simple. To give those car repair garages a chance to make more money! :D When are they going to pass the law that all computers need a WOF every six months? :D

2013-01-27 07:38:00 | When are they going to pass the law that all computers need a WOF every six months? :D Most of the time it's the user who should be required to get a WOF on themselves before buying a computer
