| 1324874 | 2013-01-25 08:09:00 | Seems there is something called Old Man's Beard here and they are telling us it needs to be gone. Now we are just tenants and have been in here less than two months, nothing to do with us right? |

I issued one last night to a certain someone in our place  :waughh: Even the dog walked out -- Now thats saying something ;) |

| 1324877 | 2013-01-25 09:04:00 | Old Man's Beard, Pretty darned noxious weed (creeper/climber type thing. Chokes the Sh*t outta anything it grows on) Show the notice to your landlord, they should provide a means to rid it, either by hiring a contractor or doing it themselves. If you are able bodied I'd pitch in and help personally but it's up to them (landlord) to deal with it. I think the council offer a service for pest plant eradication BUT I think that's only for council property (eg if the plant is on roadsides/council reserves) fyi (and the landlords) the council have an information service for dealing with it. They'll advise you on how to clear it and treat it. Usually you clear it back as far as possible, clear it all off the ground (so it can't grow into the ground) and cut the vine as close to the ground as possible, treat roots with roundup/vigalante/woody weed killer. Of course the council will tell you what's best. Good luck but don't panic, it's a pest because it chokes and spreads, it's not going to poison you :) |

| 1324880 | 2013-01-25 10:38:00 | C'mon DeSade if everyone in this country had that attitude what a sad place it would be, while you a not responsible for this, the Landlord is, the Error Guy is right a little offer of help would be great. | Arnie (6624) | ||
| 1324881 | 2013-01-25 11:29:00 | I don't garden. I pay someone quite enough to keep it tidy for me, I don't see why I should pay him to help out here. |

It's no big deal, in the past I cleared most Of Emerald Hill behind our property as the local councils city/regional didn't bother, but they issued notices to householders who had it :) |
