| 1348654 | 2013-07-12 11:14:00 | Dont think anything is wrong with the flash update, on our computers here, they all ( 7 of them) seem to get updates for flash at different times. If you want to manually trigger it try going to www.adobe.com theres a link Player download Center. Just checked on two PC's here, both had not gotten the latest version, 11.8 they were on 11.7. Re the other post, (relating to first post) when you say Avast results section opens in Word, what is it usually open in ? Wont use Avast - thats another story ;) |

| 1348656 | 2013-07-14 03:57:00 | After reading your other post relating to chrome and IE browser it looks like something has gotten screwed up browser related. What you can try, click start, type in cmd right click cmd, run as administrator then type in sfc /scannow <press enter>after that depending on what it does or doesn't find, with the cmd open, type in chkdsk /r <press enter> it will say it cant run and do you want it to run on next restart, type Y reboot and chkdsk will run. Both of these commands may take some time to run, let them do their things, they are meant to look for and repair/replace any damaged system files. |

| 1348657 | 2013-07-14 04:07:00 | Hey will do it but do you think after you told me to change the default program , do u think this could have cause problems ,and do u know how does this happen . Can cc clean be the cause cause I usually clear tge registry . Thanks for help. | AppleFan (17097) | ||
| 1348658 | 2013-07-14 04:23:00 | Ccleaner is one of the better cleaners. generally you dont go mucking about with the registry unless you know what you are doing as removing or altering the wrong keys can cause all sorts of problems. Always pays to do a system restore before doing any reg work in case it all turns to custard, then it can be reversed. If this has only been playing up for a few days you can always try running system restore back to before the problem started. If its only the browsers giving problems, resetting everything may not have much effect. |
