181923 2003-10-10 04:18:00 Recently installed on my 450 pentium. Result - slower loading than previous version of Systemworks AND it takes me almost two minutes to load the Xtra home page, our teenagers account takes almost 5! It seems to have slowed IE6 to a crawl. I have turned off all but spam control for email, and virus protection, without any improvement.

Any suggestions?

181925 2003-10-10 04:22:00 Remove it and see if your speeds go back to normal. That's a diagnosis.

To fix it might require more drastic actions, though, such as a system upgrade.

181926 2003-10-10 04:23:00 Oh, and just a word of advice, it's not good to use your email address as a username, because spam harvesters can find it easily and then you will get a deluge of spam email. agent (30)

181928 2003-10-10 07:58:00 Maybe you want to drop Nortons for a while and try NOD32 Antivirus (http://www.nod32.co.nz). Apparently its the best there is, and it uses like half the resources of others. PoWa (203)

Somehow I don't think an Antivirus is going to be much of an internet firewall :)

It's not the best there is, but it probably does use less resources.

Well its won more VB100 awards than any other virus scanner. Virus Bulletin 100% awards are the prime awards that any virus scanner company strive for. They do lots of lab testing etc, and Nod32 rates right up there with the best.
