| 181767 | 2003-10-09 23:37:00 | Why do manufacturers produce such a plethora of laptop models? For example Toshiba show 22 laptops on their site - not including the smaller Tecra models. This makes trying to compare specs and prices across different models almost impossible - let alone comparing brands. How about reducing the choices to 3 and adopting the condom labelling strategy - Large, Super, and Goliath. Any thoughts? Winston001 |

With a desktop it is very easy to taylor it to your specific needs. A laptop however is not as upgradable or configurable as desktop, so by manufacturers ofering a huge range it gives the consumer the power to choose a model specific to their needs. |

Since Ancient Greece it has been a device for sneaking things in secretly. Or maybe it's "working like a..." I never got it. Argus |
