Uless you go through the right process reattaching the fan you will more than likely cook your processor!! Please don't run it unless you know what to do. If you don't check back here. |

Yesterday I just went through removing my processor, connecting L1 bridges, applying and removing arctic silver thermal paste and reattaching everything. Quite a big deal. |

| 181856 | 2003-10-10 08:16:00 | Just for anyone interseted Artic have some very good instructions for the attaching of fans onto the cpu,well,in relation to the paste side of things anyway. www.arcticsilver.com I for one adjusted the way ive been doing them after reading up,my methods had become a bit slacker then what i would have believed,seems a wipe and a blob of goo can be improved upon. |

Yes it has a fan, heatsink and thermal compound between ic and heatsink. Not a big deal taken it off and reconnecting. I am not a software whiz though. |
