182168 2003-10-11 04:46:00 I've uninstalled all my messenger installations, the one thats built in with xp, did that via windows components, and also uninstalled the msn 6...
but theres still one lurking around and logs on msn every time i open outlook...

what can i do here?

i spose you have already unticked the "automatically connect to msn on outlook opening?" box?

does it show up in add / remove progs?

and when i open add/remove programs, it doesnt show up in the main list but when i open add/remove windows componets it shows it as "Windows Messenger 0.0mb" and i assuming that means its not installed...

But is it ticked???? the "Windows Messenger 0.0mb"

does it show up any where else then?

start > search> files folders etc> msn?

may be off base here, but you may locate it else where from where you are expecting it....

and i did a search for "messenger"
and it only came up with yahoo messenger

or msn messenger in c:/program files/messenger

came up with a post from vk_dre. and this is what she/ er he ? posted

i am not sure about it but do a search and see what you find other wise,
