| 182156 | 2003-10-11 03:25:00 | need more info why do you care? your IP is sent out with every packet of infomation so the other computer can sent stuff back so the easy answer is "you cant" however if you are using a chat program and dont what others to see your IP then there might be a way to help you. we need to know why you want to hide and who from. |

Then when you browse the net your own IP is stopped at the proxy server then the proxy uses another Ip to carry on the browse etc. However these generally cost and aren't always 100 percent secure and whats more they also slow down your browsing speeds. You can still be traced but it would have to be by someone that really knows what they are doing. Basically it works kinda like this. Home comp --> ISP ---> Proxy server ---->Internet. Internet---->Proxy server--->ISP--->Home Comp. (please understand this is only a very basic understanding of what it does. |
