| 182744 | 2003-10-13 03:15:00 | A Video capture card does not enable you to watch TV "live" on your computer. That needs a TV card. (Not the "TV Out" available on some Video cards) If you have a TV Card, it has nothing to do with the Internet. It receives a TV signal from your outside aerial. Its essentially a TV set on a card, that uses a window to display the program. "TV Out" on cards simply allows you to connect the video output of whatever you have displaying on your monitor, to a TV set, using the AV input on the TV. By this I mean if you are playing a DVD on the PC, you can watch it on the TV screen. You could use the video output from a TV or VHS recorder to feed into a Video Capture card, so you could watch TV on the computer (why would you though?), but its simply acting as a display then, not a TV. |
