182729 2003-10-13 03:12:00 They'll open up on a Sunday because they think it will be worthwhile. -=JM=- (16)
182730 2003-10-13 04:12:00 Should have little or no affect. somebody (208)
182731 2003-10-13 05:09:00 Probably because the local computer market is so competitive and they want to do anything they can to get an edge over the competition. It's good to hear they are doing that, as now I know I can get competitively priced computer parts on a Sunday if I need to. segfault (655)
182732 2003-10-14 22:44:00 I never understood why Computer shops don't have computer sales reps?

I mean the only method of pushing their sales is through means of advertising, but they never have someone out on the road pushing sales. I look at this when I was working for an engineering company, I was out on the road constantly calling on all our customers and making a sale.

I think sales can be made being a Computer Sales Rep, as I find in my line of work, I'm also asked to price up parts/computers, etc and if I called on my customers quite often, they sometimes mention someone who's in need of a computer.

Has anyone been offered the chance to buy through the suppliers of computer wholesalers? About 3 months ago, that's what happened to me when they found my website and contacted me. Now as much as this has me somewhat confused, as to why they are now looking at Computer Technicians instead of pushing sales through their wholesalers who stock their items.

This is what I don't understand with computer sales, the engineering company I worked for were importers, and the company they imported from did not dare ruin the relationship with the company by selling behind our backs, all enquiries from NZ and the Pacific were given to my company to deal with, and as far as I know now, our company is the biggest importer for the pacific for that brand.

182733 2003-10-15 16:53:00 Why shouldn't they open Sundays? JJJJJ (528)
182734 2003-10-15 19:56:00 Because Sunday is a day of rest, apparently. -=JM=- (16)
182735 2003-10-15 20:16:00 You sound like you believe only churches should be open on Sunday. JJJJJ (528)
