182408 2003-10-11 21:50:00 A downloaded music file(presumably mp3) has been erroneously given a pdf extn which is impossible to change -it wont accept any different extensions. Have tried Winrar - no go. Any suggestions out there on how I can trick this little sucker into being what it should be. Thanks amyes5 (2773)

182410 2003-10-11 23:01:00 What do you mean, exactly?

Is the file just warning you that you shouldn't change the name (thats normal, just proceed anyway)

Or is it denying you access?

If its attributes are system/read only and its denying access then change the attributes first (right-click -properties)
