2003-10-11 21:31:00 | What firewall do you have installed? | Jen C (20) | |
2003-10-11 21:31:00 | It would help if you advised what firewall you are using. Are you sure it is not your anti-virus mail scan that is causing the problem

2003-10-11 22:07:00 | My ISP told that they see I am using firewall. I have not installed nor firewall nor virus protection. Can you tell me where to look for firewall at all in the system. "Find" did not help. Thanks. Taly | Taly (4598) | |
2003-10-11 22:28:00 | IF you have a firewall, it will be one of the icons on the bottom right of you screen. Names that are firewalls are Norton, McAfee, ZoneAlarm ,Outpost, Kerio, Tiny, Outpost, these being the most common. | Pheonix (280) | |
2003-10-11 22:32:00 | I am not sure why your ISP told you that you had a firewall problem then, when you haven't installed one such as ZoneAlarm. Windows 98 doesn't come with a firewall pre-installed at all. Sorry, but in this day and age, I am very suprised that you do not use any Antiviral software - that is not a safe practice. Have a look at this site AVG - antivirus software (www.grisoft.com). The software is free and will stop you getting infected from emails/websurfing. I would recommend that you download and use it regularly. With you email problem, can you explain in detail what sort of error messages you are getting, or what happens when you try and download your emails. Thanks Jen
