182654 2003-10-13 09:49:00 Hmmmmm

I don't know what "filterkeys" are. What OS are you using?

Whatever they are, for sure you can turn off the association between your shift keys and this filterkeys function. Trick is to find out how. :(

Godfather? :D

182655 2003-10-13 10:12:00 FilterKeys are part of the Acccessability features

That function is triggered by holding down the RIGHT Shift Key.

If you don't want to invoke it, simply use the LEFT Shift Key.

If all else fails, use Windows Help and About. (XP)
It will tell you how to disable it, or simply go to Accessability in Control Panel.

182656 2003-10-13 20:15:00 General Custer sure could have used some more cavalry like you Godfather. For timely rescues you have even got the TV superheroes beat. :D

[b][pre]The above is an apolitical observation and should not
be interpreted to suggest that I or anybody else
on PF1 supports the oppression or suppression by
military force of aboriginal peoples in any neck of
the woods. :|

You're not Austrlian by any chance.....

182658 2003-10-14 08:16:00 aboriginal [adjective] (Of race, animal, plant) indigenous, living in a land from an early period, directly descended from these. n. Aboriginal inhabitant

No mention of Australia there Winston, and on that interpretation of aboriginal you can safely assume that all environments are included. There are aboriginals in every country & state on the planet.

Actually, I was avoiding having my choice of words taken to mean that I favoured either party in the battle of Little Big Horn.

182659 2003-10-14 08:37:00 What about the poor oppressed horses then? Did Custer ask his magnificent equine companions if they wanted to carry soldiers? Endure the slings and arrows of outrageous..... strike that, very annoyed Crow aboriginals?
Indeed did those noble savages themselves give a tinkers cuss for the patient palomino?
A lot of animals had a tough time at Little Bighorn you know - but do they complain?

Actually I've sort of lost the thread......ummm its getting late.....
