I don’t even know why I am still here helping Pf1 people, when I get so much abuse and/or shot down Or correction from other people when I make a mistake’s :( :| You know not every one in the world is perfect!!!

** I wish there was a edit button**

Here is an idea! How about correcting some one else on here e.g. Peter H for saying "bye" at the end of each post instead of me!

The reason why I am still here is be because I am a kind & helpful person & I like helping people with their computer problems **

182538 2003-10-12 09:10:00 Stu they are not picking on you,

but when you write every thing over and over again it gets to be a large amount to read when most people have got the gist of the post already.
so if you need to edit it, a line or two will suffice not the whole post please,

and no im not picking on you either, but think about the space and time you take up when having to reread it all.....

this is no reason to leave pf1,

take note of it and move on with your life you cant keep every one happy all the time.
just be the best you can be stu, the best you know how.

You could argue that :D :p

> this is no reason to leave pf1,

Do not know, I might, I might not, you just have to wait and see.... ;)

>take note of it and move on with your life

That might be another good reason why I might leave Pf1, so I can get a life & get better work! Instead of helping people, I might help my self like my mum keep saying to me...

182541 2003-10-13 05:27:00 That's ok Stu,

I have felt like that almost every month I'm here..... I am no here very much anymore due to my studies. However, if I was, I would not be replying to many post, not because I dont want to help, but because I feel I will be 'put down' and end up in a flame thread like many times before.

To satisfy my addiction for PCs, I am usually only here in the background, learning for myself. To be honest, this kinda sounds crazy, but if it werent for money, I'd be a computer guy now.

I wanted to be one at a very very young age. Just after I learnt of its existance. That time, I had not met a computer. I put down PC Engineer in kindergarten as my future career :D It was till about 8 years later when I was given the chance to own one.

Right now, I've still got headaches. Many exams to go yet. 25 papers/27.5 hours/14 sessions/10 days/1 month late nights-early mornings. I still have to decide on my subject options for my future study/career as the result I got back today was appalling.

If you feel like leaving, perhaps it could be a wise idea to not reply to anyones post, but to learn a bit for yourself before returning to helping people should the situation get better.

Like this post, it is only a reminder that I'm here ;-)

People will suffer in silence for so long but when something becomes so annoying and unbearable something just has to be said in the hope that it will be fixed .

That is not so annoying and unbearable that Peter needs to be told off . If it was someone would have said something .

Yes, and we all appreciate that . But you have been asked more than once to stop quoting every damn post all the time and yet you still keep doing it . It is obviously driving more than a couple of people bonkers, including me . You've got to do more than just try, you've got to quit doing it or else risk more people complaining about it . If you don't stop it then don't complain about people shooting you down .

182544 2003-10-13 08:06:00 Stu, ignore these people,

Go away from PF1 for a few days... cool down... come back when you think the people are under control, by your ways

182546 2003-10-13 08:24:00 sy, everyone is making a valid point here - think about it, these are not fly-by-nighters commenting, but PF1 regulars. Do you think they are "picking" on Stu for the hell of it? No, rather they/we are merely pointing out something that obviously annoys many people.

Stu, accepting constructive criticism can be hard, but take this advice for what it is, take a deep breathe, modify your posting habits and move forward. No need to threaten to leave as your contribution to this forum is appreciated by many :)
