183190 2003-10-14 09:43:00 Yes.

I've used windows filesharing with both 3.1 and WFW3.1. (WFW works better).

It is also possible to get TCP/IP working too.

183191 2003-10-14 09:57:00 Should be able to.

It'd be easiest if you have a PCI slot spare and can buy one of the Realtek cards from DSE which come with Win3.1 drivers :-)

Any card should do hopefully...!

183192 2003-10-14 10:49:00 Windows for Workgroups 3.11 will be able to be networked. Neither Windows 3.11 nor Windows 98 first edition support Internet Connection Sharing however but will be fine for file sharing. tommy (2826)
183193 2003-10-15 03:17:00 I doubt if you'll have a PCI slot free (or any PCI slots) on a machine running W3.11. :D

WFW3.11 had drivers for most of the ISA cards available then (and the N2000 driver worked for many. :D)

Have a look at the windows upgrades (www.62nds.co.nz) here, where you can get the WFW TCP/IP. (I've tested that link, but the tail end of it might not work for you. If so ... just go to the home page (http://www.62nds.co.nz/) and go through Software>Patches.)

183194 2003-10-15 03:22:00 It is possible to network Windows for Workgroups 3.xx with Win 98, share the internet using the TCP/IP add-on and AnalogX's Proxy program. wown.com has good info on networking win/wfw3.x. good luck. mark.p (383)
