183106 2003-10-14 07:07:00 Am on jetstart - could connect to my Xtra account and Xtra home page but can't surf out of NZ. In fact can't get to NZherald, Aardvark but could get to PCWorld.co.nz, Stuff.co.nz, ICONZ and IHUG.

I know I paid my interweb bill this month!!! Who tripped over the cable?

183107 2003-10-14 07:28:00 Happens periodically, complain to your ISP if need be. -=JM=- (16)

I am also on Jet Start (JetStream starter) ISP: Quicksilver

And I have not had any problems getting to the above website, so I am guessing Xtra is/or had a small problem with outside NZ websites.

183110 2003-10-14 09:50:00 Connection seem to be ok now at 10.50pm. Must have been a north shore thing. Another mate of mine reported the same problem. (It's all this damn rain I reckon). nzStan (440)
183111 2003-10-14 10:01:00 Oh get over yourself

Stu was simply commenting that his ISP was not affected, so its likely limited to Xtra customers only!!!

Somebody kill that user account....

183113 2003-10-14 10:30:00 Just as a matter of interest you may not have been CONNECTED at the time.

Some of the web pages you think you surfed may well have been in your Cache and therefore on your hard drive and therefore available.

Just my $2.00 worth.

I was going to say 2 cents worth but inflation has been bad!!!
Where are you going to find a 2 cent coin these days anyway?

I'm old enough to remember going to a Sat arvo movie for sixpence ( 5 cents )

My first packet of cigarettes cost 20 shillings or 20 cents.

Mind you.... other prices have come down.

Computers, Digital watches, Cellphones, Cars etc.

A Tandy computer back in 1983 cost around $5000 australian then.
