| 183114 | 2003-10-14 05:51:00 | Hi, I run Windows98 on a PII-350. Lately, I keep getting problems with IE5.5. The error message is: EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module TRACKURL79AD003C.DLL at 0177:02058bdb. Registers: EAX=000000ac CS=0177 EIP=02058bdb EFLGS=00010202 EBX=020923e4 SS=017f ESP=041be534 EBP=041be6a4 ECX=00000018 DS=017f ESI=00000003 FS=40ff EDX=00000003 ES=017f EDI=02092314 GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 8b 40 04 c3 90 53 8b d8 80 7b 28 00 75 16 8b c3 Stack dump: 02058a30 00000003 020923e4 02058aed 00000002 020923e4 020589b2 0209378c 00000002 02061ca3 041be6ac 020624da 041be6a4 02092314 041be790 041be884 Would appreciate advice. |

Do you use Ad-aware (www.lavasoftusa.com) or Spybot Search & Destroy (www.safer-networking.org)? If not, I would suggest you download either (or both) of them and give them a run. See if that helps. |

| 183117 | 2003-10-14 06:20:00 | Run SpyBot and/or Adaware you have a BHO (Browser Helper Object) of the no friendly variety, Clientman (www.doxdesk.com). Check out this (www.spywareinfo.com) to find out what BHO's do and what legit (kind of) ones you may want to keep. And update your browser. Cheers Murray P |

| 183118 | 2003-10-14 06:21:00 | OK, a quick bit of google hunting has led me to this site: ClientMan - parasite (www.doxdesk.com). If you read the article you will notice the reference to: [i]... If you have the Helper variant, you should see 'browserhelperX.dll' and 'trackurlX.dll', where X is a random eight-digit hexadecimal value. If you have the Tagger variant, you should have 'taggerbhoX.dll', 'trackurlX.dll' and 'searchrepX.dll'. In either variant, you may have further leftover DLLs from previous updates.[/il] Your error message has this TRACKURL79AD003C.DLL - so try Ad-aware or Spybot first, and if that doesn't work, try some of the suggestions in that article. |
