| 182882 | 2003-10-14 10:08:00 | Win2K and WinXP Pro (Home's not as good, consider an upgrade) are by far the best OS's (Aside from Linux) for networking with. Enabling WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) and any other security features once your network is going peachy will lock it down. It's probably easiest if you setup a WinXP machine as the host, and have a connection to the router/modem on that PC, you can then set it up to share the internet connection across the rest of your LAN easily :-) What cards are you looking at for Wireless? USB? Internal? |
