| 182848 | 2003-10-13 09:02:00 | Hi all, Just wondering if there are any decent (and cheaply priced) web hosts in NZ these days, or whether I am better to stay with my US one who charge stuff all, and do as good a job as I require at present.......??? Many thanks for any possibles! Craig. :D |

But there are helps of cheaply NZ host out there, you just need to search & ask around :) |

| 182855 | 2003-10-13 22:01:00 | The only Web Host I know, who actually serves in NZ and I have found is the cheapest for nz'ers is www.aotea.net, who is not cheaper than overseas hosting, they do however have servers in the US but they say 99% of the time you will end up with a server in NZ, if you ask nicely of course. I thought www.hostonce.com was good, a fixed price and a free domain and plenty of other things, except they dropped their Linux servers and their support is slack and and and... the list goes on. |

Aotea Web Hosting base there servers in Hamilton - is your company associated with Aotea? Although we are based in Hamilton, rest assured, we have no connection or association whatsoever with Aotea Web Hosting or Cheaphost. Is The Kiwi Web Hosting Company associated with kiwiwebhost.com? No, we are not. kiwiwebhost.com came into being about nine months after we started trading as The Kiwi Web Hosting Company™ (using kiwiwebhost.co.nz as our domain name). As far as we can tell they are a copycat organisation, so please do not get us confused. kiwiwebhost.com appear to operate through a reseller account at the Miami-based company, Whizhost. The lesson we learnt: always purchase all meaningful variations of the main domain name for your company. |
