182973 2003-10-14 19:18:00 I advertised my car in the Autotrader, Trade & Exchange, loot and the Herald and got not one call!

As soon as I put it on TradeMe I got about 5 emails a day and about 1 call a day!

182976 2003-10-14 23:45:00 www.x-drive.co.nz I think is one,

I remember seeing on a web, an AVI of a guy selling his car via the web, he showed in the movie taking it to a mechanic getting it all checked over and everything. He sold the car the same day he put it up, because he had all that information. Although, I guess the person who bought it was pretty wealthy, JetStream as well, since the car was pretty well priced up there.

182978 2003-10-15 03:10:00 Hey guys
Thx for all your input
Have explored Trademe and registered ... now have to organiise a digital photo of the car....
Looked at the other sites, will probably give them a try too
No joy with Trade & Exchange - just 2 or 3 phone calls.
Also thinking of Turners Auctions
cheers

182979 2003-10-15 07:52:00 Being able to see a photo of the goods for sale is probably one of the biggest attractions of Trademe. To have a photo displayed in traditional newspapers, Buy Sell and Exchange, etc is expensive even for a small image. tommy (2826)
182980 2003-10-15 18:41:00 And also in newspapers/mags etc the photos are usually small, and sometimes (especially with newspapers) not good quality.

Hence trademe being popular - you can have a thumbnail of the photo, and click onto it to see a bigger photo. And they are usually taken with a digital camera, so it has good quality. Or even scanned at a high DPI setting.
