GlobalFinder or something, part of MS-Works and it can go

> Svchost.exe
System process, dont kill this one

> SAgent2.exe
Not a clue sorry

> Khooker.exe
Im assuming this is from KaZaA? It can go if so..

> alg.exe
www.liutilities.com
It can stay

> svchost.exe
> svchost.exe
> svchost.exe
> svchost.exe
Another system process... leave them all

> lsass.exe

MS Works Calendar Reminder app IIRC... Kill it and remove them from within msconfig

Yup, MS Works, and again you can kill them as some of these works files (Notably the first) can cause many-a-crash!

this works ms you say get rid of, i run ms works as my word processor will this be affected?

and will need to sit down and do some reading on these things to get my head round them a little i feel .

and Khooker - i have never had kazza or kazaa lite on this puter and remember its just been formated so it should have nothing on it but what i have put on it or surfed to . . . .

and while doing first post back to reply to you it spat the dummy and i lost pf1 page altogether so am really starting to get anoyed by this machine again .

bah . . . . .

thanxs for your help and time doing a search, lack of knowledge and where to look is my main problem .
so am indebted to you and other pf1 people who can and do help me .
