2003-10-13 04:33:00 | I am in Wellington. What is the best deal?? I have seen $397 console with one controller. And $60 odd more and comes with a extra controller, mem card and 3 rentals. These avail at DSE, Noel Leeming, Farmers. Not really interested in DVD, we already have a player. Nor is games, as I can always rent them... Are there better deals?? Has anyone played EA Sports Cricket, Rugby and Tiger Woods Golf?? Not considering an XBox. Limited games and I have enof MS products :D

2003-10-13 06:20:00 | buy a car and u get a free ps2..i think thats a good deal ;) i think thats a pretty good deal u have btw... and the ea sports cricket, personally i think its easier to play on pc....maybe thats because the times i play on ps2 were at m8s and i've always had a pc not ps2... but i think if you took a quote to some other place they would try and beat it....less money or add another game or something...

At least that's how I got my Explorer mouse... :p |

2003-10-14 07:19:00 | I got it!!! Now thinking if I should of bought it :D Sick of PC upgrades thou and the inability of hiring games. It was $449 not the $460 previous thought. 2 controllers, 3 rentals and one mem card. Noey Lemon had flybuys so bought from there, Dicky Smith would not budge even with cash, so the credit it goes.

2003-10-14 08:46:00 | Bruce and I have argued over console versus PC for years. Lately I have begun to think that maybe he is right about flexibility of PC, find myself using PS2 less and less. However, kids can't wreck the PS2 by installing crap on it. Saw a shocker machine the other night, had crapps installed everywhere, took ages to startup and then they quite about five programs before they carry on. Some serious uninstallation required. Consoles are damn cheap and games very common and easy to rent, just a bit shallow compared to PC ones (but allows for more depth to your wallet). robo.
