| 182763 | 2003-10-13 03:04:00 | I am trying to unzip and join a file spread over three floppys. I have put PK-UNZIP in my root directory but Win XP doesn't seem to know what to do with it. Has anyone done this successfully? I then tried by installing Win Zip. This downloads the three disks but will not join them. Never had this problem when I had DOS on my computer. Jack |

| 182764 | 2003-10-13 03:32:00 | If you made this spanned archive using the DOS pkzip, you will be best off unpacking it with the DOS pkunzip. You should be able to make a pseudo-DOS window with Run/cmd.exe and give the pkunzip command (with the appropriate options). WinZip may have lost some of its backwards comatibility. :D | Graham L (2) | ||
| 182765 | 2003-10-13 03:42:00 | It works ok as Graham said. My versions of pkzip/unzip are circa 1993 and pkunzip can be run from the command line. Just checked it out. | Terry Porritt (14) | ||

| 182767 | 2003-10-13 17:11:00 | I've sorted it out. I was trying to join them with PK unzip without first putting them into a holding file. Well it's about ten tears since I have last done this. Now the sad bit. They won't run in XP. Just locks up after loading. Thanks for the help. Jack |
