183287 2003-10-14 21:24:00 I encountered the following error when launching NAV to scan a folder:

"An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 38
Char: 3
Error: 'RoadmapFram.CancelButton.Style' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: res://PROGR~1\NORTON~1\NAVComUI.DLL/ScanProg.htm

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Yes/No"

The same error happened 2 or 3 times before and I uninstalled and re-installed NAV but it didn't solve the problem.

Any idea why?

Cheers

183288 2003-10-14 21:30:00 Download this (service1.symantec.com)

Uninstall NAV2002 again then run RNAV2003 to get rid of any registry entries left behind then reinstall.

Let us know how you get on :)

183289 2003-10-14 21:38:00 By the way, just tried to scan some other folders and it is working OK. This error only happens when scanning certain folders.

When I log on to Administrator's account (I'm running XP Pro), I could scan all folders and files.

183290 2003-10-14 22:19:00 So when you got those errors you weren't logged on as an Administrator? CYaBro (73)

That's right. I logged on as a Power User account.

183292 2003-10-14 23:38:00 What was the folder you were trying to scan?

It must have the security settings set to only allow administrator access.

183294 2003-10-15 00:09:00 Thanks, CYaBro. It's a security issue. I edited the registry giving user accounts the necessary privilege and everything works fine.

Cheers
