183580 2003-10-16 11:23:00 I have been using Firebird for a while now but one thing (or one of many) still stumps me. I can't seem to send a webpage link or pwebpage via e-mail like I can in IE. Normally in IE you can click on File --> Send --> page as link or the complete page. However in Firebird I can't seem to be able to do this. Can someone shed some light on this. Odin (227)
183581 2003-10-16 19:12:00 There is an option to under the file menu called "Send Page", that may do what you're wanting. -=JM=- (16)
183582 2003-10-16 19:40:00 I'm using them both, not that affects the state of the world!Only trouble then is,when I save a site into favourites, sorry, favorites,on one and then want it on the other browser............so sometimes have 2 open. And have both Opera and Firebird with the tabs (new pages)at the top, less confusing that way!

JM, I don't seem to have the "Send Page" option in either 0.7 or 0.6.1 in Firebird. Have you got an extension which allows this function?

Odin - if you also don't have that option, a work-around for this would be to install the extension IE View for Windows (texturizer.net). If you have a page you wish to send as a link or as a complete page, just use this option which will open up IE for you and then you can use its "Send" options. Bit of a messy way to do it though.

You might like to ask about this function at the MozillaZine Firebird forum (forums.mozillazine.org)

183584 2003-10-16 21:15:00 Jen, I've only just noticed it after looking around for something which might send a link. Running 0.7 clean installed yesterday, no extensions. -=JM=- (16)
183585 2003-10-16 21:54:00 It's Not in my version of Firebird (or I can't see it) I am runnin 0.61. Might update to the new one and see if it is available there. Thanks JM.

And thanks also Jen I'll look into those links you posted. Apart from this issue I find Firebird really good and if it wasn't for that I'd dump IE like a brick.

I still however don't like Thunderbird mail program, I can't really explain it but it just doesn't seem to have the functionality of OE but it just doesn't feel right. Perhaps I have been using OE too long and have gotten use to it, I also don't like the full version OutLook either. Hopefully Thunderbird will undergo some positive changes and I can get rid of OE as well.

183586 2003-10-16 22:22:00 I must also mention that that option on the file menu doesn't really seem to do anything for me. -=JM=- (16)

Did I just skip from 2999 to 3001?

183589 2003-10-17 06:49:00 Just tried out Firebird 0.7 and am now a convert.

When it hits 0.8 I will probably start recommending it over mozilla.
