183647 2003-10-16 02:25:00 The automatic Windows Update picked up four new security updates today... You may want to go get them.

How many more holes will they find?

183651 2003-10-16 05:50:00 Windows ME, wasn't that the one where they took all the good things from windows 98 and 2000 and flushed them down the toilet, then combined what was left and called it a new and better OS? ;-) Odin (227)

That's funny :p, but kind've sad at the same time... Windows ME is a reasonable OS, it's strange in the sense that some people have no problems with it whatsoever and others have nothing but problems. I'm blaming my [limited] problems with it on damn computer vendors not giving me a proper install CD so my "clean install" often leaves registry entries and old files of programs around which I don't need..
Thanks guys :|

Apart from that can we please not have another Microsoft knocking thread? It's pointless and timewasting and if people were really that sick of Windows then they'd cough up $10 and go to Linux or FreeBSD... Alternatively if you have a couple of hundred grand to spare you might even try Mac's (or give your money to me, drop me an email and I'll give you my bank acct. details :D)
It is damn near impossible to create a stable and flawless operating system as everything is coded by humans, and humans are prone to errors.. Every OS requires updates, well, except MSDOS 6.11, but that's because there's not a hellova lot you could do with it these days.

I don't see computers complaining about their owner when there's a stuff up on the users side of things ;)

183653 2003-10-16 08:49:00 That's funny, because I haven't received four security update emails in my inbox. What I did receive was a summary for the month though... agent (30)

That's coz they're only doing things on a Monthly basis now unless they deem things Highly critical... MS.Blaster style ;-)
