184054 2003-10-17 00:42:00 Actually, it has nothing to do with Christmas, I just have to be out for the rest of the day and both of my devoted readers get fretful if WFTWE doesn't appear until Saturday. :p

Nikhedonia

Pleasure derived from anticipating success

We are going to win aren't we?:|

184056 2003-10-17 09:47:00 so far its a messy game..

i think the rugby world cup should have the top 6 teams in 1 pool and then the "minnows" or watever they are called in other pools, and ensure that the top 6 teams cannot meet the minnows till the final...
and that mite generate abit more interest....
but yeah the crowds mite be low for the group games hmm use them as curtian raiser to the top 6 games? i dunno...

say the top 6 teams meet eachother 3 times meaning they can play at 3 different venues...and the other 10 teams (split 2groups) play eachother twice at 5/6 different venues and then the top 2 of each group would result in 6....and the 4 "minnows" meet eachother in quarters, and then that leaves 2 of them..therefor thats a semifinal...and since that means the 2 teams from the top 6 can play a 2 leg semifinal and who scored the most points aggerate after 2 games goes 2 final...and then they would be pretty buggered after all those games and might ensure an closer final...

its just not really fair that these games have to b played when 99% certian of victory...

and also if anyone uses this idea :P i want something outta it.....(looks at the IRB)

watta reckon?

also billy, i wanna apoligise that this is in this thread, when maybe its not meant to be a rugby thread...but didnt want to make another OT posting when theres already been a few....

there goes another knockon...................

184058 2003-10-17 19:53:00 are we to remain in the dark of this nameless person BT????? :D

and whatever happened in the game to start with it was a bit off, but that was probably nerves and once they settled down they were great, and i who doesnt like rugby watched the whole b...... thing which is amazing in itself...???
and it doesnt matter what the subject is BT as long as it makes a laugh or smile youve done a good job no matter what crap is fired elsewhere in my opinion.

have a nice day all....

184059 2003-10-17 21:05:00 Hey Chris

This is a RWC thread thinly disguised as WFTWE :D

Yes, the game was scrappy at the beginning, and remained edgy throughout but the ABs did OK .

Top marks to Canada though, for an amateur team they did very well and the final scoreline flattered the ABs and did not do justice to their very worthy opponents .

Cheers

[pre][b]Thanks for the kind comments beetle . I have a warm
feeling that PF1 is returning to its old friendly self .
There has been too much acid and smart-arsed
*cleverness* lately and I for one will not be sorry
to see the back of the chief perpetrators .

184063 2003-10-18 02:51:00 in response to ur comment billy about lsoing players to injuries...
this might enlighten u...or depress you...

Halfback Byron Kelleher joined the All Blacks growing injury list when he strained a hamstring warming up during the win over Canada but New Zealand's biggest worries lay with the neck injury to Ben Blair........................
