| 183998 | 2003-10-16 21:23:00 | Is there any way to prevent the Dialup Connection User Name and Password from being changed?. This happens sometimes when you are entering some information into another application, and the Dial Connection windows appears unexpectedly. if you are not watching and keep on typing, what you are typing sometimes gets entered into the Password field overtyping what is already there. I looked at TweakUI but it does not seem to help with this. Any ideas? One thought I had was to make the file that holds the user name and password 'read only'. Would that work & which file is it? Another thought was to make a backup of that same file and recopy it each time the PC is rebooted in autoexec.bat so that it is always recreated. Would that work - and again, what is the correct file that holds the info? Thanks for any assistance. Steve |

Saves a bit of trouble. Possibly not very helpful to you but that's all I can offer, sorry! bobble :D |
