184272 2003-10-17 16:27:00 Im using windows 98se.Icq lite version 1300

In one of my icq contact I managed to save all the chat convo.I want icq lite now to save all of the history chat in one folder but the option in icq lite says that *save selected messages*.I cannot highlight all the chat and then save it in a folder.I have to save one message per file. How do I fix this so i can save all the chats in just one file only?

184273 2003-10-17 20:21:00 To be honest I've never managed to get it successfully done in an official ICQ app.

GAIM however it was just a matter of ticking a box and telling it how I wanted them saved.. ;-)

Any chance you'd be willing to look into it?

184275 2003-10-17 23:50:00 Haven't used an official ICQ client in years. But with Trillian/Gaim or whatever I may be using at the time I have it set to log to a text file. -=JM=- (16)
184276 2003-10-18 00:16:00 GAIM's quite nice.. Only bad is it cant send txt's to NZ phones (That'll come in later versions).

Trillian most certainly does save history logs. Each chat contact has their own separate text file log.

184278 2003-10-18 22:34:00 How do u actually use gaim?I went to the site clicked download and there's like two sites which connects u to mirror site for downloading.Something called tarzball and another one.
After downloading both of them its just a pile of files. There's no setup file. How do u run the program?

That would be the Linux version of GAIM. If you are running Windows you will need the Windows version (gaim.sourceforge.net), natch. ;-)
