2003-10-17 09:16:00 | I upgraded my Geforce mx 460, to a Geforce 4 Ti4200, and now DVD's are kind of 'ghosty' There is kind of a faint ghost of a person, moved slightly to the right, and all the colour is a tad off. I have the latest drivers, but according to tomshardware, the latest ones have a problem with lighting levels or something. Could that be causing the problem?

2003-10-17 09:45:00 | Detonators 45.23 IIRC? Or are there newer ones still? Try removing them and then re-installing them for your new card (Unless you already have) What DVD Player are you using (Power DVD?) and have you got DX 9?

2003-10-17 21:53:00 | got dx9. yes have 45.23, and installed them for the new card (maybe) pressf1.pcworld.co.nz Go there to find out what happened. Should I install MSI drivers, or NVIDIA drivers? If I install MSI, it will go back to 44.03, but maybe that is a good thing. I think the whole harddrive is a bit screwed, because when we first got XP we loaded on all our old programs that crased and what not, anf tried more stuff, deleted lots, and generally made a mess. Now, after the drive image, i think things have got worse, and maybe that is screwing up the graphics, but I wouldnt know. No chance of formating it though. Dad couldn't take the stress :-) since all his workl is on there. Do I have to un install the current drivers, before loading new ones?

2003-10-18 00:17:00 | If you're running WinXP, then yes, because its not too had to do a Driver Roll-back. I'd give the "old" ones from the nVidia website a shot then if you think it may be the latest set. Under Downloads you can choose to download the out-dated ones :-) Let us know how you get on

2003-10-18 04:25:00 | Ummm. Do I use the rollback feature, or just uninstall, then install other drivers? How does the rollback thing work? I seem to remember it asks for a cd or something
