183962 2003-10-16 18:49:00 Need help for 2 things, 1: display settings refuse to change from 16 colours to 256 when i have to restart my puter for changes to take effect it refuses to do so which brings me to problem no2, Puter is refusing to shut down or restart(only way out is a manual stop). System is Win98se,600Mhz,64Ram,10GB, Dl'ed System Utilities week or so back been going sweet as until yesterday don't know if this sftwre is cause of problem or not. Iss there a way out other than a system restore?. Any help much appreciated. S Man. southernman (2481)
183963 2003-10-16 18:59:00 you could try reloading the video driver ,maybe yours has become corrupted .

183965 2003-10-20 18:45:00 DLed new driver but when i tried to install recieved this message;"A supported Graphics card was not found in system" what is this andd what do i do next? S Man. southernman (2481)

183967 2003-10-20 19:22:00 Can sometimes get away with going into device manger and deleting your video adaptor. Unfortunately, after this you will have to hit the reset button to restart sometimes. Windows will restart and load correct drivers if available. If not, you will still have the same problem which requires the correct drivers to be loaded. Pheonix (280)
183968 2003-10-20 20:31:00 Re: The problem with shutdown might be because you haven't downloaded the patch for it. If you search for it in the forum you will find some links to fix the shutdown issue. Or just do a windows update. PoWa (203)
