| 184614 | 2003-10-19 01:12:00 | I have been having problems with my new PC for Months . Lockups etc . . Windows XP P4 2 . 8HT Audigy 2 Gigabyte Radeon Pro 9700 (Latest Catalyst Drivers) 400W PSU PC4800 Deluxe 2 x Serial ATA 10,000 RPM Drives I will be playing games and suddenly, bang, pc locked up . I have updated my bios, video Drivers (tried to do my sound but heaps of problems with the auto update Sometimes when I reboot I get serious error detected by XP . Seems sound card related . Anyone else had problems and know what the likely solution might be? |

| 184615 | 2003-10-19 01:21:00 | Overheating? Although unlikely on a P4. Tried turning off the auto-reboot feature in WXP to stop it rebooting when it detects a fault? A bit more info on what actually happens when it crashes would be good: Does the mouse stop moving? Picture stay on the screen? Reboot? etc. Do you have the latest version of Direct X? |

It might be your videocard, which is similar to the P4P800 prob. ASUS P4P800 is compatible with ATi Radeon 9500 and 9700 Pro card. However, we recommend you to use version PN xxx-xxxxx-30 or later to get optimum performance and overclocking stability. |
