| 184638 | 2003-10-21 08:36:00 | Cobian Backup 5 found here: www2.educ.umu.se Apparently Luis Cobian (developer) is in the process of getting the program approved to be part of the SourceForge Open Source community, so he can focus on other projects. Interesting where a quick google search and some old fashion research will lead you. Anyway, thanks for the input people and I am of to load up Cobian Backup 5 for a test run. Cheers |

| 184640 | 2003-10-22 09:25:00 | Having some problems just getting it to back up at all also crashes out with a bunch of errors when closing down as well. Have unistalled and now browsing the user forum for some clues. I did notice in the help (or the forum?) some talk about Cobian Backup 5 not being recommended for use with a writer and if you do be it at your own risk? Oh well, will invest another evening in Cobian and also look for some simmlar utillities. |

| 184641 | 2003-10-22 09:43:00 | I'm sorry to hear that. I use it on XP with LG 52x24x52 writer. Client uses previous version 4 on win 2K with 8x4x? (can't remember) Acer writer. I have used Easy cd Creator V6 to format the CDRW first before Cobian could see it. Maybe INCD will format first, then use CDRW. |
