185229 2003-10-20 20:18:00 ive noticed it recently that whenever people post topics on this site that the order you see them is never chronologically ordered.

How Come??

185230 2003-10-20 20:27:00 Because everytime someone makes a post it is bumped up to the top of the front page, which mucks up the order. If it were chronologically ordered it would be hard to keep up with a problem, and you would have to search for the thread many pages back. But maybe its not the best way to have it, I don't know. 185231 2003-10-20 21:06:00 The thread with the most recent reply is sent to the top of the pile each time a new post is made in it.

This is a good system as it keeps unsolved or "interesting" threads "alive" rather than have them disappear over to the next page or three. Threads die a natural death when they are finished with and drift down into the cybersphere but they can still be reached with the search facility if required.

Try going into "My Settings" (see above) and selecting under "View Preference" view mode - flat.
