| 185217 | 2003-10-20 19:37:00 | Every 2 weeks or so my PC goes haywire-icons on desktop flashing, programs opening up un prompted, typing awry. I have checked for MSblast virus and it is not in files, but IS in registry twice. as msblast and msblast.exe(which is in statrt up config. AVG told me that the latter would cause no problem and to leave it, but what about the msblast should I delete them? Advise please. Pete |

| 185218 | 2003-10-20 20:39:00 | mblast.exe should be deleted. Go here (www.symantec.com) read and follow the instructions given. If you still have the problem download and run each of the following until your problem is solved: a trojan detector/cleaner (try The Cleaner (www.majorgeeks.com) or Trojan Remover (www.majorgeeks.com)), Adaware and Spybot. It is assumed that your anti virus is up to date. If you still have no joy after trying those suggestions get back to us and we will try something else. |
